Parent guide
A little preparation.
A happier beginning.
Starting preschool is a big step for little people — and their grown-ups. Let’s get ready together.
Before the first hello
Make room for
a new beginning.
Start with a conversation
Contact the school about your child’s age, preferred starting date and available places. Ask for the latest fees, enrolment steps and forms.
Talk about the change
Look at the school photo together. Chat about who will drop off and collect your child, and invite them to share what they’re looking forward to.
Share the little things
Tell the team about your child’s home language, familiar routines and what helps them feel comfortable. Small details can make that first conversation more useful.
YOUR VISIT COMPANION

A confident start.

For their school bag
A little checklist.
A calmer morning.
One thing to pack: a snack for 10 a.m. Meals are provided.
Before the first day, ask the team for the full packing list. Check whether to send spare clothes, a water bottle or a familiar comfort item, and how belongings should be labelled.
Discuss allergies and dietary needs directly with the team so you understand the arrangements before your child starts.
It’s a big step for
grown-ups, too.
It’s natural to have questions. Write them down, bring them to your visit and give yourself space to get to know the school.
Keep the conversation going
Your questions
are welcome.
Ask about the school’s settling-in approach, how updates are shared, who to contact during the day and the collection arrangements.
